In May last Mr. Caldwell failed to pay into the Treasury a sum of 2,011 Dollars (about £418), which he had received from different sources of revenue in his capacity of Registrar General, alleging that the amount had been abstracted from the Public chest in his office - He was informed, in accordance with the advice which I
